November 11 is Remembrance Day in Canada and one of the most important days of the year for Canadians. If it weren’t for the sacrifices our brave Armed Forces have made, the scenarios and possible outcomes are endless. Seniors seem to understand this much more than any other demographic.

Hold off on the Christmas cheer
I have recently become close with a CAF Special Services soldier here in Ottawa and the discussion came up recently about Remembrance Day and Christmas decorations. Let’s spread the word that Christmas joy, including music in stores, lights on houses and general holiday cheer should be limited to after November 11, to show respect for Remembrance Day.
